People pay $13,000 (2025 price) to be part of the camp for 4 days and many Duke basketball players come back to be part of the experience. It is a celebration of Duke culture and accomplishments. There can be temptation to condemnation and despair if you feel you have not been as successful as you hoped and you feel alone. As Gibbs reflected on Memorial Day and the sacrifices made, he was aware of his own discontentment despite being surrounded by so much surplus. Isn't it amazing how we can be in situations we want to be in, surrounded by people we want to be surrounded by and still feel a gnawing longing for more...God help us to be content and to desire Godliness and generosity.
