Today on the show Gibbs talks with Team Lancaster Thunder about the importance of relationships in life. This weekend is MLB players weekend. Players can custom make cleats and bats to pay tribute to family, organizations, and institutions that have impacted them. They can be creative with the bats they swing. Gibbs shares some of his own ideas for tributes on bat and spike. Sunday night the Mets and Mariners join the Little Leaguers at the World Series in Williamsport. What organizations or people would you pay tribute too on your cleats and bats from your life? Gibbs talks about Steve Kerr and how he has been mentored by Gregg Popovich and his appreciation and recognition of Steph Curry. We have an older and younger dynamic in these relationships. This past Saturday Night Nick Kurtz of the Las Vegas Athletics had a statistical night that had never been accomplished in baseball history. This upcoming Saturday night on August 2, 2025 Major League Baseball will play its first game in the state of Tennessee. The MLB is trying something new. We can get consumed with the comfort of our routines, sometimes it is good to try something new. Do you remember when the message of Jesus Christ was new to you? When the message that sin separated you from God first entered your ears and that led to repentance and becoming a new creation! The best "new" activity that could happen to any person.
