Today on the show Gibbs encourages Team Lancaster Thunder to remember that Jesus is the #1 option in every situation! We are talking team USA basketball today. The men's basketball team has begun training for the Olympics and footage is starting to roll out of training camp. Gibbs talks about the make-up of the team and the importance of chemistry being developed as all of these talented players come together. There is no doubt about the talent in the gym, but will they be able to come together as a team that can win? That remains to be seen. Anthony Edwards made headlines early on by calling himself the team's #1 option! This got Gibbs thinking about Philippians 2:5-11 where we are reminded that Jesus is the #1 option and the whole world will one day recognize that fact! Go Make Plays! We are "NOT JUST FANS!"

Today on the show Gibbs talks about how we often face moments in life where the outcome will differ based on the path we walk down. Psalm 1 sets before us the way of the wicked and the way of the blessed man, two different outcomes based on the path we walk down! We see this concept play out in sports as well. He speculates about some more likely to happen situations...Are the Yankees more likely to sign Juan Soto, or the Cowboys more likely to extend Dak Prescott? Who would you be more likely to pick in a fantasy football draft Bo Jackson or Jerry Rice? TRUST FOR THE WIN!

Today on the show Gibbs encourages Team Lancaster Thunder with the fact that trust is key to successful teams and the accomplishment of whatever goal you are working toward. Who do you trust? How do you decide who or what is trustworthy? Trust is a make-or-break ingredient. He talks about the book/movie "The Boys In The Boat", a story with many applications; trust, being one of the most clear and applicable. He talks about reliability and sacrifice and how Jayson Tatum is being rewarded with the largest contract in NBA history because the Boston Celtics trust him to represent the franchise in ongoing championship ways. He talks about how the Yankees trust Aaron Judge to anchor their lineup. We all are in situations where we are asking for trust and be required to give trust. SWEET AMAZING GRACE

Today on the show Gibbs encourages Team Lancaster Thunder with how extraordinary the grace of God is towards people. We are talking about the NBA draft, Bronny James, and bizarre NBA draft philosophies. We talk about the global expansion of Basketball, and Gibbs thinks about how each human on earth has the opportunity to benefit from a relationship with a person who has more influence than themselves. EYES ON THE PRIZE

Today Gibbs encourages Team Lancaster Thunder to keep their eyes on the prize. A lot of championship hardware has been passed out over the last week. Watching eyes raised as trophies are hoisted is a beautiful reminder of where the Bible tells us to set our eyes. We take a look at Colossians 3, and the person of Jesus Christ who is far more beautiful than any championship trophy! We talk about the Stanley Cup, the NBA Finals, the College World Series, our top NBA draft prospects, and bid farewell to the sensational Willie Mays. GO MAKE PLAYS! We are "NOT JUST FANS"!

Today on the show Gibbs has some fun with team Lancaster Thunder. We are talking about sports hypotheticals that would have been fun to see but we will never will. For instance, Tom Brady and Larry Fitzgerald or Peyton Manning and Larry Fitzgerald together on the same team, Babe Ruth VS Randy Johnson at Fenway Park. What would you like to see?
